Denise Herrera is a Bronx New York native, and a proud Mexican American born to immigrant parents. She obtained her BSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She is currently pursuing her MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with a focus on Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families. Denise concentrates on the intersection between immigration and mental health, she works at the Immigration Law Office of Christian Y. Alvarez as a Legal Assistant and is a Social Work intern at Brooklyn Defender Services in the Immigration Community Action Project (ICAP) unit.
