Shelsey Valdez is an Advanced Standing student at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, pursuing a graduate degree of social work with a concentration in Community Organizing and Development. She received her BSW from Lehman College in 2020 and has gained previous experience working with non-profit organizations, such as New Alternatives for Children. Shelsey intends to continue to serve underserved communities and is passionate about advocating for the rights of others and working to obtain the resources necessary to enhance the quality of life for others.
