Yunisha Alamo is a second-generation Nuyorican born and raised in the Bronx. After earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Hunter College in 2006, raising her children as a single mother, and working over 16 years in the field of child welfare; she finally decided to pursue her MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Yunisha specializes in assisting youth in their adjustment to therapeutic settings and preparing them for adulthood, as well as conflict resolution between parent and child. Yunisha’s passion for the community that she serves, her dedication to the youth that she works with, and the comradery that she encourages amongst her colleagues is the driving force in her continued pursuit to do better, to do more, and to keep doing.
