Krystyn Banega is a Registered Nurse currently in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She has been working as a Nurse at Rockland Psychiatric Center for the past five years. To those who know Krystyn, it is obvious that art and creativity mean a lot to her. If she were to be an enchanted item in the Disney film "Beauty and the Beast," she would be an enchanted paintbrush in order to "keep life colorful." Due to her crafty and artistic nature, Krystyn dreams of one day creating an illustration/art book that shines a spotlight on mental health awareness. She enjoys writing "Dear Random Stranger'' letters and scattering them around NYC, and also writes handwritten notes to her Etsy customers, reminding everyone to be proud of themselves for making it this far despite how overwhelming life can be. Krystyn is a Cabrini-Hunter Fellow and looks forward to obtaining her Certificate in Interprofessional Education.
