Deisy Hurtado is a full time second-year student at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College pursuing her MSW, with a focus on Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups. Her field placement is in a hospital setting, providing individual and group therapy to hospital employees. Deisy has an abundance of experience working with children in social services; within non-profit, hospital settings, preventative care, human trafficking, and domestic violence. She is currently a Care Management Coordinator at Northwell Health advocating for children that have behavioral health concerns and medical chronic conditions. Deisy's ambitions are to receive her LCSW, provide therapy to children and families, and write children's books on Mental Health.
