Kiara Lorenzana is a Puerto Rican woman who grew up in a single parent household with her disabled younger brother. Kiara quickly learned the evident health disparities experienced by minorities in underserved communities. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the College of Staten Island and is pursuing her MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in the Advanced Standing Program. With her focus on clinical practice and experience in healthcare, Kiara hopes to achieve her goal of becoming a LCSW to advocate for accessible quality healthcare for all.
