Markson Ayeku is a vibrant student in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Hunter College.  He is also a Fellow of the Cabrini-Hunter Fellowships for Social Work and Nursing Students.  Markson obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, Arlington and worked with the New York State Veterans Home, Saint Albany, for a few years, "Caring for people who served the country.”  He is currently working at Flushing Hospital Medical Center – Detox Unit.  Markson is passionate about working with people with mental health and after completing his studies, is looking forward to helping reshape psychiatric clinics, reduce mental patient stigmatization, and ensure adequate care for patients with mental illness.
