Kayla Chan, a Registered Nurse for two years, currently works as a Home Health Telehealth Psych RN while recovering from a trimalleolar fracture that has left her bedridden after ORIF surgery. After earning her BSN, she quickly passed the NCLEX and her passion for the psych field was solidified during this time while working as an RN witnessing mistreatment and judgment of her patients, which ignited her dedication to inclusive mental health care. Kayla believes in the power of individualized care, empathy, and continuous learning to become an exceptional healthcare provider, which is why she's honored for the opportunity to learn and grow with the Cabrini-Hunter Fellowships. Eager to expand her knowledge through this fellowship and her studies, Kayla aspires to establish her own practice, committed to delivering the compassionate care that every patient deserves.
