Ramond Hernandez is a proud Latino of Puerto Rican descent pursuing his MSW at the Silberman School of Social Work, with a focus on Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups. Through early volunteering and his encounters with the community, Ramond developed a passion for helping others and learned to use his experiences, as a means of advocating and supporting others. He began his career providing counseling and interventions for survivors of sexual abuse and individuals in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Ramond’s goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a strong member of an inter-professional team to bring quality mental health care to New York City’s underserved communities.
