Jery Valencia is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of underserved communities in his current role as a Lead Prevention Navigator at Bridging Access to Care. In addition to serving as the bridge between the community, healthcare, and social services, Jery also provides HIV, STI, and substance use/misuse prevention education presentations and conducts HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI testing and counseling. Jery was born in the Philippines and grew up in New York City. He has integrated over ten years of experience in retail operations management to social work. His commitment to social welfare and justice reform led him to pursue his Masters in Social Work, with a focus on Organizational Management and Leadership. Jery’s goal is to make a greater impact in his community and is excited to be a part of the Cabrini-Hunter Fellowships amongst colleagues who share the same vision.
