Gilbert Barjon is a hardworking and resilient Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated his life to the field of nursing, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and patient care. He began his educational journey at Molloy College, where he earned his initial nursing degree. His quest for advanced knowledge led him to SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he further honed his skills and expertise.  Gilbert's career in nursing has been marked by his work in urgent care and neurosurgery at some of the most prestigious hospitals in New York.  Throughout his career, Gilbert has been recognized for his dedication to patient care and his ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and grace. His efforts have not only contributed to the wellbeing of his patients but also to the advancement of the nursing profession.

Gilbert is honored to accept the Cabrini-Hunter Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship offers him the opportunity to  understand the multidisciplinary approach to caring for mental health while pursuing a second degree in advanced nursing, further expanding his knowledge and capabilities. Gilbert is excited and honored to embrace this new chapter, eager to make a significant difference in the field of nursing.
