Magcarena Aura Gutierrez Olivero was born and raised in Venezuela. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, where she witnessed firsthand the socio-economic and political challenges that can profoundly affect an individual's mental health and overall well-being. These early experiences, the lived experiences she faced as an immigrant, and her 4 years of experience working in foster care, cultivated a compassionate drive within her to pursue her Master of Social Work with the support of the Cabrini-Hunter Fellowships program. Her goal is to help others, embodying resilience, a sense of humor, and commitment. If you want to find her, you can check her out at her multiple jobs, at socio-cultural events supporting communities, or at a professional Latino dance academy. As a side note, her name is like the famous dance and song, but with a G: "Hey Magcarena, Ay."
