Mikel Haye is a first year graduate student at the Silberman School of Social Work. He is working toward his Masters in Social Work, with a concentration in Clinical Practice, with individuals, families, and groups. Prior to pursuing his masters, Mikel has received his Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies at Queens College. A native from Brooklyn, Mikel has ten years of experience in youth development from elementary to high school students. His most recent work experience with at-risk youth ages 16-21 years old has encouraged his decision to pursue graduate study in Social Work. His goal is to become a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the Department of Education while supporting youth in the juvenile justice system.
