Evelina is currently enrolled in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Hunter College School of Nursing.  She has worked as a staff nurse at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell in the inpatient psychiatric-med/surg unit since she graduated with her BSN from Lehman College in the Bronx, where she has lived for 15 years since she arrived in the United States of America from Greece. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, her primary goal is to connect with the inner self of the psychiatric patient, to listen to their needs, and to be their strong advocate. She believes in the power of empathy and understanding in providing the best standard of care to such an underserved, vulnerable population, and she is committed to achieving excellence through her professional development journey.
