Julia Quantz is a student in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing. She has practiced as a surgical nurse for 17 years, 11 of those in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center. A passionate advocate for community care, she was a founding member of the coalition to Save Allen Psych from closure; she remains committed to fostering mental health community resources and policies to make sure that every door is the right door to finding support.
