Brendaly Capellan is a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Social Work with a focus on Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups. She hopes to become a licensed clinical social worker and provide mental health services to young people. Brendaly’s passion and commitment to supporting and empowering young people stem from her personal and professional experiences as a group leader in a school enrichment program, a previous youth peer advocate out of a children’s psychiatric hospital, and a social work intern at a high school. Currently, she is a social work intern at a community mental health clinic, where she hopes to strengthen and develop new skills to be a more effective clinician.
