Weanny is a registered nurse with over 13 years of experience and is currently a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student. She is dual certified as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and a Medical-Surgical Nurse (MEDSURG-BC). Her many years of experience in pediatrics, pediatric oncology, and inflammatory bowel disease have imparted perspective on the importance of addressing mental health while dealing with serious illnesses and the importance of having a strong support system. Weanny is interested in addressing the stigma of mental illness in the Asian American community and schizophrenia.  She hopes to work in palliative psychiatry in the future.
