Sabrina Cyphers was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to New York City in 1997. She is a proud graduate of the CUNY system, holding an AA from BMCC, a BA from Hunter College, and an MPA from Baruch College.
At age 50, Sabrina reignited her childhood dream of becoming a nurse by completing prerequisite courses at Bronx Community College. She went on to earn her ABSN from NYU during the COVID-19 pandemic and became a registered nurse in 2022. She currently works at the NYU Langone Solid Organ Transplant Unit, where she cares for patients undergoing liver or kidney transplantation.
Witnessing the complex struggles of patients and their families, particularly with mental health and addiction, inspired Sabrina to pursue a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. She is committed to integrating compassionate, holistic care into psychiatric nursing to improve mental health outcomes and support patients across the continuum of care.
