Riya is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at the Silberman School of Social Work. After transitioning from the private sector, she brings strong professional communication skills and the perspective of a woman of color who values meaningful connections and addressing social inequities in her community. Riya has experience working with adolescents and young adults and is particularly interested in supporting immigrant communities. She is passionate about community mental health and hopes to use her education and lived experiences to advocate for underserved populations.
