Deborah Ternize is a registered nurse with experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, and community health, and is currently pursuing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York City College of Technology and previously worked in a high-volume emergency department, where she developed strong clinical judgment, sharpened her assessment skills, and provided care to patients experiencing acute medical and behavioral health crises. Working at the front line of care strengthened her ability to remain calm, build rapport quickly, and support patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. She now focuses exclusively on caring for children with complex medical and behavioral health needs. Her diverse clinical background, multilingual skills, and natural leadership have shaped her compassionate, culturally responsive approach to care. Deborah is passionate about advancing in psychiatric nursing and is committed to improving access to quality mental health services for underserved communities.
